A Bouquet of Memories

So, today, Thursday, is pre-reg day for Sakuracon, and I couldn't help feeling down in the dumps since I'm missing out on a convention I've been going to for five years straight. Monday morning was pretty bad because it was the only thing on my mind, and to my disbelief, I started crying on the bus to school. (Well, I kept myself from leaking more than a few tears but still, that was a big deal for a stoical person like me.) Really now, out of all the things that could get me teary, an anime ...

Just want to say, OH THE IRONY. Saturday was fun for the first portion of the day, then things got crappy afterwards. Won't mention what happened for the sake of my friend's privacy. Then my other friend's car broke down; so we were unable to hang out Sunday. Maaaaan. ;_; We definitely want to make our awesome day happen; so that inconvenience will not keep us from trying again!!

Oh maaaan, this weekend is going to be the bestest and busiest. Going to be cosplaying downtown with a friend tomorrow; then having lunch, bake cupcakes, and watch the 25th Anniversary of The Phantom of the Opera with another friend on Sunday. 8D Oh right, I also have a hair appointment the very next day. Daaaang...

Oh! And today is the first day of Spring break; so yaaaayy~!

I feel bad for not reporting back from the best Asian Celebration I've ever been to; so here is the report, late but better than nothing!

I was super psyched for the first day because I was able to cosplay Kyouya from Ouran HSHC which is a cosplay I've been dreaming of doing for years! My friend was kind enough to lend me her Ouran jacket and tie, and I had everything else needed; so SCORE. I decided to put more effort into the makeup since I usually throw on some foundation...

So I've been going through my old fanfics (and I mean ANCIENT-old from sixth grade to high school) and I stumbled upon this one particular fic that has been the longest and most worked on compared to the others. I'm feeling quite melancholy right now because of the whole being a poor college student. Over the past couple of days, I've already spent some of the money I was planning on saving which is the only money I currently have (besides the one dollar in my wallet); so I felt, and still feel, foolish and regretful afterwards.

So I woke up this morning from a dream about my mom, brother and I at DisneyLand. (It was a slightly different version where the rides and amusement park were altered but I digress.) Anyway, I awake and hear the faint sound of It's a Small World playing. I thought it was just in my head but I listened intently and realized it was my brother playing it in his room. Then I hear the next song come on and it was How do You Do/Splash Mountain theme... He was listening to the DisneyLand theme park ...

My, has it come and gone so fast~ I'm a bit sad that it's over but super happy about the wonderful experiences I had there! I haven't had a genuinely good time at a con in so long!! ;u;

But OMG OMG, I'm so proud that I did it all by myself!! It's pretty much the first sewing project where I needed very little help (on the gathering mainly but that's it); so I'm really happy that my skills are improving!! ^u^

So, since I couldn't make it to the premier yesterday, I decided to throw myself a little celebration by making cauldron cakes and butterbeer, and watching A Very Potter Musical. :3 And DANG, that butterbeer was the richest beverage I've ever drunk. One sip and it already feels like a one-course meal! X_X But despite not being able to drink the entire mug, it was yummy in a junky food way. ^^
